I just saw the felled tree in the park, and wondered what had happened. Thanks for the report!

I was noticing last Spring, while sitting on the benches across from the traffic circle on PTE that at least one of the trees looked hollow. Hope the Parks Dept. keeps an eye on these trees, or that residents report them, like I should have done. Next time back I'll see if it's still standing and if it appears dangerous, I will.

From what I understand, it made a splash. The trunk was hollow and full of water.
